Book Review: Definitely Dead

, by Mystee

Summary from GoodReads: The new Sookie Stackhouse novel from the New York Times bestselling author of Dead as a Doornail.

Spiked with a "frothy fusion of romance, mystery, and fantasy" (Publishers Weekly), this "deliciously fiendish...increasingly riotous series" (Dallas Morning News) sends the supernaturally gifted cocktail waitress to New Orleans, where she has to deal with the legacy of one of her own family and a host of potentially dangerous characters.

My Review: {This book is for adult readers} --Sookie Book #6: Yoohoo. Remember Quinn? He's back this book with a larger roles. Will Sookie and him date? Get serious? I don't know about you, but something would definitely turn me off to someone who grows fur and a tail.

A little stint of modeling and lots of rubbing are in book 6 for Miss Stackhouse.

Our favorite telepath is off with another victim to date and bursts the hopes of a hopeful for good {geez, why don't men chase me like that....I need a dose of fairy?}.

We have muggings and vanishing kids and kidnappings and tigers and lions {sorry no bears}---vampire deaths and almost wars, magic and reconstructions and relative inheritances...wait until you see how Sookie is involved.

We finally get a glimpse of the true Bill Compton, I knew there was a reason I disliked him from book 1.

There's a little line of the book that will stick with you long after you've closed the book..... {{SPOILER}}

**When his breathing--and mine--was a little more even, he said, "Babe, I haven't come like that since I was seventeen, in the backseat of my dad's car with Ellie Hopper. (256)"**

Charlaine Harris has a wonderful imagination in combining all of these beings together. Another great book that will leave you panting for more.
