My Review: Looking for a different type or romance novel? I'd say this is it. This has your good and bad guys, a tale being told that also involves treason, betrayal, secrets, learning to forgive and a romance that unfolds as the story goes. An excellent story of dedication to someone that you love. This is a series book number one, so there is more of this story yet to unfold.
It is in the setting of Belgium and Brussels in 1815. There are times in this book that you do want to slap everyone silly. Also, at other times, you feel sorry for no one thinking it's their own fault for being stupid. But, well developed characters are created and you end up wanting to get through the page just to read the next one. This book sees up and downs and then more ups and downs.
This book is a must read and one to keep on your selves to re-read. You'll feel right there with the characters and be cheering on the *good guys*. I must admit, the beginning started a little slow for me, but after that it was an easily flowing read. Be watching for the release of book two in this series...set for August 2011...in the meantime, be sure to get your own copy of book one.

I just finished this book, and to me it was a huge disappointment, I didnt like it at all
