I'm not too sure where to start with this one.
Initially, I found it difficult due to a lot of non-US words/tones. After a few chapters I did get over that. What I did not get over was the slow pace - though, in the end the book did win me over (as is seen in my 4 star review and the fact that I then purchased The Serial Killer's Daughter).
There were some twists and turns and also some expected happenings based on how often we were told that a happy couple they were and what a perfect life they have.
After Tom's second arrest, Beth realizes he'll likely not return for a while. At first she plays the role of knowing he is innocent, but it catches the reader (at least me) off guard when she doesn't fight as hard about his innocence as one would think. Beth, eventually with the support of Adam, focuses on taking care of her daughter and moving forward.
I did enjoy the twists I could and couldn't see coming.
