You all have been waiting forever
forever
FOREVER
...and I decided not to make everyone wait until October.
Book 2 will be released this week as well.

After losing her mother and leaving behind her life in Scotland, Gretchen, a reclusive woman in her 40s, moves to the coastal town of Beaufort, North Carolina. Seeking solace and a fresh start, she finds a quaint condo with a stunning view of the ocean. With her loyal pitbull, Faith, by her side, Gretchen decides to pursue her dream of becoming an author, supplementing her income by offering affordable editing services to budding writers.
Gretchen’s new life seems serene, with quiet walks on the beach, peaceful mornings watching the waves, and afternoons spent editing manuscripts. But her tranquil routine takes a dark turn when Faith discovers a man slumped against a tree on the beach during their morning walk. Initially thinking he’s asleep, Gretchen’s concern grows when she realizes he hasn’t moved for hours. Upon closer inspection, she suspects the man is dead.
Her suspicions are confirmed when the police arrive, but Detective Kane Jenkins dismisses Gretchen’s observations, assuming she knows little beyond the fact that she found the body. Frustrated by the detective’s dismissive attitude, Gretchen decides to investigate on her own, convinced that something more sinister is at play.
As she delves deeper into the mystery, Gretchen uncovers secrets about the man’s life and his connections to the local community. Her quiet editing business unexpectedly becomes a gateway to the underbelly of this seemingly idyllic coastal town. With Faith as her steadfast companion, Gretchen navigates a web of lies, deceit, and danger that threatens to shatter her newfound peace.
In
The Beach Body, Gretchen learns that some secrets are too dangerous to leave buried, and sometimes the only way to move forward is to confront the darkness head-on.
