#FeatureQuestionFriday - Friday The 13th

Friday, October 13, 2023 0 Comments

You know I had to. Right? There's so much legend and mystery and superstition around Friday the 13th that it's almost impossible to pass this up - if it scares or worries you or not. ;)

Generally speaking we all know the rules (especially if you've seen the movies). But maybe, those that fear Friday the 13th have bad luck simply because they walk with worry all day.
Oh right, the rules....
Personally, I've never worried about it and often do things in 13s (hey, not my fault - my mom was a baker and everything was a baker's dozen (13 for those that don't know). So 13 has almost been a comforting number, in a way.

So, the obvious question for this Friday ---

Food for thought:
  • If you cut your hair on Friday the 13th, someone in your family will die.
  • If a funeral procession passes you on Friday the 13th, you will be the next to die.
  • Do not start a trip on Friday or you will encounter misfortune.
  • If you break a mirror on Friday the 13th, you will have seven years of bad luck.
  • A child born on Friday the 13th will be unlucky for life.
  • Ships that set sail on a Friday will have bad luck.
  • If you walk under a ladder or if a black cat crosses you on Friday the 13th, you will have bad luck.
Final thought ;)

#FeatureQuestionFriday 1 - What Would You Do With Your Ticket?

Friday, June 02, 2023 0 Comments
Today I'm handing out tickets (fictitiously, of course) to a destination of your choice. I'm hoping you'll take a moment to comment with where I'd be sending you, why, and what you'd be doing there.

I would have to say, I've always wanted to go to Germany. I know. Probably not a popular answer. Right? You all are probably thinking Hawaii, beaches, warm, oceans,,,and I'm thinking Germany. Here's why:

Neuschwanstein Castle, made for Ludwig II of Bavaria, is unbelievable beautiful. Germany, though many don't know, has a large number of beautiful areas and attraction. It's just not always warm, so people don't often consider it when thinking they need a vacation.

I honestly think some of Germany has castles that can even compare to those in Scotland. At times, many are even for sale. Could you imagine owning your own castle?

The history can vary on these castles (like with any other building). This one has always really drawn my attention. The setting, the large expanses of grass, trees, and even a water view. What's not to love?

Speaking of love, one thing I do believe I love even more than the wonderful images I've just shared, is the castle in winter. Amazingly beautiful.

So, where will you be going with your ticket?
