#BookReview: Green Pieces

**Re-sharing an oldie

Summary from GoodReads: Life is never boring back at the pond once Iggy, Radic, Cabby and Roc get together. Join them for a humorous yet serious look at nature. After all, people world-wide are familiar with some part of nature and all of nature serves as the Green pieces© cartoon strip s character sources. In his first compilation book of cartoon strips, author Drew Aquilina draws from his love of animals and nature from when he was growing up in Connecticut. As the seasons turn, Green Pieces: Green From the Pond Up explores how birds, deer, squirrels and other denizens of the natural world coexist, even when man intrudes on their surroundings.

My Review: Just wait until you meet Iggy, Radic, Cabby and Roc. Each member of this little group has their own quirk. Follow them through the environment spring, summer fall and winter.

Most of us, myself included, are trying to be more aware of the environment. We try to teach our children the same. This is a really fun way for kids to learn more about going green while reading and taking little adventures.

Very fresh and fun with characters you'll just have to love. A must read for all ages.

  1. This sounds really cute. I love books that are for children and fun for them, but also can teach them important lessons without seeming as though they are doing so. Another great find from you.

  2. I got this one too and we really liked it! The older kids liked how it taught them how to make hummingbird feed :) Go Green!
